Grisham's Wagon Is Not Hitched To NM

Riding on the coat-tails of former Governor Bill Richardson, putting politics first

Even die-hard Democrats have a difficult time justifying Governor Grisham’s publicly-funded trips to the Kentucky Derby. She’s not known for her equestrian skills, and Louisville is about 1300 miles from Santa Fe.

Since Grisham and her cohorts aren’t exactly forthcoming when it comes to her travel extravaganza, we’re left to our own speculation as to why the Governor would feel compelled to repeatedly leave NM for a horse race.

A recent review of the Governor’s Constitutionally-mandated calendar might provide some context regarding Grisham’s enthusiasm for the Kentucky Derby.

While New Mexico suffers from an epidemic of violent crime and young kids regularly die in NM Children, Youth & Families Department custody, Governor Grisham is spending public funds on parties with her political cohorts. Another Special Legislative Session starts in a few weeks, and you can be sure that not one Legislator will bother to mention Grisham’s illegal use of public funds, or the fact that she devotes her time to pleasing the National Democrat Party, instead of doing her job.
